Buying a property

All the immigration advice and information you'll need for a new future.

Home / Buying a property

Buying a property

With a diverse landscape and developed economic infrastructure, it should come as no surprise that South Africa has a very busy real estate scene. Property is one of the major areas of investment in South Africa. However, it takes time to research the ideal combination of price and location.

One of the best areas property-wise is the Western Cape, which includes the city of Cape Town and the historic Winelands area. The province offers a full range of property types, from bachelor penthouses and apartments through to small-holdings and farms. You can choose between a view of the sea along the coast, or the dramatic panorama of the mountains further inland. Prices also vary considerably throughout the province. Growth in property prices has made the Western Cape a prime investment destination, while others have found it to be a good location for a holiday home.

However, South Africa’s buying and selling procedure is not identical to many countries in Europe. Therefore, you would be well advised to seek professional help when making your purchase. Buying a property in South Africa, and immigration in general, can be considerably easier when you are assisted by a committed professional agent.

To find out more about what Immigration South Africa can offer in terms of advice and the procedure of buying property, especially in the Western Cape and Cape Town areas, email us on property@immigrationsouthafrica.org.
