Volunteer permit
The Volunteer Permit is issued to individuals who wish to be employed by a charity organisation in South Africa, or who want to enter the country to perform voluntary work. It is important to note that, for the purposes of the Volunteer Permit, the work performed by the applicant must not be remunerated.
The Volunteer Permit is issued for a period of up to three years. Persons wishing to apply for the Permit will need to comply with the following requirements.
• They must provide proof that they will be able to support themselves for the duration of their stay in South Africa.
• They must be in possession of a valid return air ticket to their country of origin, or, if they have no such ticket, they are required to pay a deposit to the South African government instead. However, if they will be in South Africa for longer than 12 months, no ticket is required.
• They must supply an indication as to what activity they will be involved in, and which organisation they are associated with.

I am Ryan and I am a Malaysian Passport Holder. I am chinese and i am 19 years old . I would like to ask required the application of volunteer permit in south africa .. Is it possible for Malaysian to stay for a year? I will be doing the voluntary work at Amitofo Care Center , Malawi. Please give me a comment .. Thanks
Malawi is not South Africa – you must apply there.

hi,i run atuck shop registed and wolud like my brothers to work with me.since getting work permit in south africa is not easy.will voluntary permit be good for them and how long witll it take to come out.how much u charge.
